My name is Cori Dullnig and I am the lead physical therapist at The Neuromedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Baton Rouge.  We are currently hiring therapy techs and have found that college students that are pursuing education in the pre-PT, OT, PA, or MD fields have been a great fit at our facility.  We are a 27 bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that treats mainly neurological diagnoses like stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury.  Our techs get a lot of experience working with a challenging patient population that will look great on their resume as they apply for their advanced degree program.  We are looking for full time or part time and are flexible with work schedules, however full time hours are typically 730-4pm depending on how many patients are in house.   I am hoping that you can forward this opportunity to the students in your organization.  Resumes can be sent to  You can also contact me if you should have any other questions that I can answer.

Blood and Marrow Transplantation Ambassador

I am the Associate Program Director in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the University of Minnesota. I am looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to help us change the practice of medicine. I’m hoping you can share this message with members of Alpha Epsilon Delta. 

The very first successful bone marrow transplant was performed at the University of Minnesota in 1968. We are the oldest and one of the largest, most successful BMT programs in the world. I encourage you to spend some time learning about the pioneers in our division by exploring the links below.                Work/Research Opportunities at Pennington Biomedical for College Students

There are two options for students to gain work/research experience at the Pennington Center. 

  • The first option is a paid option for students to perform work duties;
  • The second option is the Non-Employee Trainee (NET) program, to facilitate opportunities for interested persons to learn about PBRC research and methods by training in the lab of a scientist.  Student workers are paid, and the benefits of their work flow to the institution; Non-Employee Trainees are not paid, and the benefits of training flow to the trainee/intern.

                            Baton Rouge Sports Foundation

Our Public Relations Intern will be tasked with supporting the marketing, promotion, and overall communication activities related to BRASF initiatives, events, projects and achievements.  This is a hands-on opportunity which will give the intern a chance to plan and direct all communication activities for our organization. 

This position includes a stipend based on experience and time commitment.  Interns are expected to work 15-20 hours per week.  Some BRASF events and projects require work during weekends or nights. BRASF prefers interns who can commit to working with our organization for six months or longer.

                             PhysAssist Scribing Opportunity

PhysAssist Scribes is currently seeking candidates who are interested in gaining paid medical experience to join our scribe teams in Baton Rouge, LA as well as nationwide to include Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX, Knoxville, TN, Louisville, KY and many more. Part time scribes work 18-30 hours and full time scribes work 30-40 hours per week. Our scribes work in the emergency departments at several facilities, including Oschner Medical Center, and many more. This is NOT an internship or a volunteer opportunity. Scribing allows you to work with & shadow healthcare providers and get paid doing it, while gaining rare clinical experiences and hours that help you grow as a person and as a professional.

Scribes provide real-time charting for physicians by shadowing them throughout their shifts. 
As a scribe you will:

  • Document the patient history and chief complaint
  • Document the physical exam and procedures
  • Record x-ray, lab, and diagnostic test results
  • Prepare plans for follow-up care
